The following are a few events you won’t want to miss when you come to experience a Christmas in Atlanta.

Garden Lights, Holiday Nights is an annual tradition that brings droves of guests to the gardens to take in the wonder of over one million colorful Christmas in Atlanta lights adorning the premises. Grab a hot chocolate and wander the grounds, enjoying the dazzling display that highlights the sparkle and beauty of the season.

Festival of the Season

When you’re in the mood to combine some underwater adventure with the holiday spirit, the Georgia Aquarium is proud to welcome guests to the Festival of the Season event. Running November through January, this spectacular event provides guests with an opportunity to get a close up look at amazing sea creatures while the aquarium is decked out in its holiday best! December marks the annual tree lighting at Zoo Atlanta which promises to be an amazing family-friendly event when you’re in town. The cost of admission provides guests with access to a variety of zoo-based holiday events, crafts, and activities that take place throughout December as well.

Skate the Sky

Ponce City Market is one of our favorite places to shop, and now it’s one of our favorite destinations for holiday fun as well! The Skate the Sky event is returning to The Roof at Ponce City Market this year, allowing adults and children 5 and up to enjoy an ice skating experience 10 stories above Ponce de Leon Avenue on a 3,500-square-foot ice rink. You can also enjoy themed igloos set up alongside the ice rink, including themes like Next Level Up, Group Chat, Cuddle Up, and even Glamping. Tickets are $25 for adults and $15 for children ages 5-12.
