Staplehouse in Atlanta owners Ryan and Jen grew the idea of their restaurant from humble beginnings in their home’s basement where they would regularly host weekly dinners for family, friends and anyone who wanted to come. The event grew until the two were partnering with local producers to host feasts for the entire community on a regular basis. The dream of opening a Staplehouse restaurant was pushed forward with renewed vigor when Ryan received a devastating cancer diagnosis in 2012. Using his 8-years of culinary experience to create the framework and local fundraising efforts on behalf of those who had long enjoyed the delicious benefits of a Staplehouse meal, the restaurant was finally opened to the great joy of Ryan, Jen and the surrounding community. Before Ryan passed away in 2014, Staplehouse was successfully partnered with The Giving Kitchen of Atlanta. This means that all after-tax profits from every meal purchased goes directly towards providing financial assistance to restaurant workers in need in Atlanta.
