Set in the eclectic Little Five Points neighborhood, the Horizon Theatre brings audiences stories relevant to life, revealing provocative and fresh moments of positive change. Seating just under 200 people, this theatre provides a small-town, intimate setting. With a family series for younger audiences and contemporary plays for diverse viewers, there is something for every audience member on the calendar.
Founded in 1983, the Horizon Theatre Company has been entertaining audiences for decades. Families will enjoy a show from the Family Series and Holiday Shows, with plays and Disney musicals to delight even the smallest members of the family. For adult audiences, there are six to eight contemporary plays produced annually, as well as regionally relevant original plays from, for, and about Atlanta in the New South Play Festival program. Combine the entertainment of the Horizon Theatre with the enjoyment of being outdoors by taking in an outdoor musical in Piedmont Park put on by the Theatre. The theatre also teams up with Little Five Arts Alive to put on free outdoor performances from April through October.
