The Fernbank Science Center is an interactive science museum where guests can explore the ideas and concepts of space, nature, and other elements of natural history within an exciting and engaging setting that’s inspiring to visitors young and old alike.

Public planetarium shows offered at the center, however, are priced between $5.00 – $7.00, with discounts available for students and seniors.
The museum is open at varying times throughout the year. However, Fernbank Science Cetner maintains school year hours in both their Exhibit Hall and Observatory. The Exhibit Hall is open from 12:00pm – 5:00pm on Monday through Wednesday, from 12:00pm – 9:00pm on Thursdays and Fridays, and on Saturdays from 10:00am – 5:00pm. The Observatory is open on Thursdays and Fridays, weather permitting, from 9:00pm – 10:30pm. The Fernbank Science Center is closed on Sundays.
