Day 1: Cascade Springs Nature Preserve

Day 2: Blue Heron Nature Preserve

This city park and testament to the beauty of the great outdoors works to conserve the natural habitats of some of Atlanta’s most precious creatures and Atlanta nature. A complex maze of trails covering over 3-miles of ground is available for walkers, joggers and bikers alike looking to make the most of this peaceful and purposeful destination.

Day 3: East Palisades Trail

The Chattahoochee River runs through the city of Atlanta and provides some stunning routes perfect for the avid hiker on an urban getaway. Stunning rock formations, rising bluffs and wide banks with gently running water make the East Palisades Trail a scenic route that shouldn’t be missed. Kayakers will also want to take advantage of the access points this trail provides for enjoying a day out exploring on the water. Hikers will want to keep their eyes open for the small but impression forest of bamboo stalks that lives upstream. It’s an unexpected surprise for a trail that surrounds a thriving city center.
