Root Baking Co’s hands-on lesson is designed to teach beginners how to bake at home with a sourdough starter, covering how to train up a lively starter from scratch, how to mix, ferment, shape and bake a loaf, and how to best utilize home ovens to produce crusty results. Root will provide drinks and snacks from their kitchen, and guests will take home a fresh sourdough loaf, active starter, freshly-milled whole wheat flour, an info packet and a replicable formula.
