In this class*, we’ll circle the globe and explore different baking traditions using flatbreads as our guide. Flatbreads are found throughout every great baking culture and are cherished for their ease of assembly and for the endless flavor combinations that they promise– perfect for a weekend family meal or a great dish to bring to a potluck. We will bake our way through a few sweet and savory flatbreads using a wide variety of grains as building blocks. We will also learn some strategies for topping/filling our flatbreads according to the seasons. Students will receive recipes for all baked goods produced, as well as tons of flatbreads to take home and share. Light snacks/ beer & wine will be provided.
